Many of our government agencies are responsible for regulating industry, the same industries that routinely and deliberately pollute our air, water, soil and the food we eat.  They regulate by setting allowable pollution levels or by ignoring the situation entirely.  That means they are directly responsible for the contaminants entering our bodies and disrupting our health and even killing us.

They allow nuclear and other waste to leak and contaminate our communities.  They plan pipelines to run through our towns and when they explode or leak, they take no responsibility for the harm to people’s health.  We’re supposed to fend for ourselves with the “help” of for-profit insurance companies and for-profit medical facilities that know no end to price gouging.

Many in our government, especially the aggressively stupid republicans (the same ones who deny the indisputable FACTS of global warming), deny our need for universal health care.  Can’t afford it?   How much money did our government lose in Iraq when it sent billions of taxpayer dollars in cash for distribution to corrupt, incompetent low-lifes?  I’ve read figures ranging from 12 to 40 billion.  How much money does our government waste every single day due to its incompetence, greed, corruption and useless wars?
